Qualification Wales (the regulator of non-degree qualifications in Wales) are undertaking a strategic review of vocational qualifications from all sectors.
Employers from the Construction and Built Environment sector (which includes plumbing) were invited to attend a series of workshops (earlier in 2017) to establish whether the current vocational qualifications is fit for purpose. Employers from across the sector were encouraged to identify ways to improve qualification provision for the future.
The APHC have been appointed “the subject expert” for the plumbing industry and are in the early stages of dialogue with Qualification Wales.
